15. T'nalak, Abel , pisyabit, and other textiles are examples of what non motivated function artsa. expression of imaginationb. expression of the mysteriousc. ritualistic and symbolic functiond. basic human instinct for harmony, balance and rhythm

Answer:

T'nalak, Abel and Pisyabit are examples of ritualistic and symbolic function arts.

Explanation:

T'nalak is a cloth woven which is sacred to T'boli people in communities located around Lake Sebu, South Cotabato in Mindanao. This is a ritualistic and symbolic form of arts because the woven cloth has thousand of patterns that refers to folklore. It is said that when the people are weaving the t'nalak cloth, they are being guided by Fu Dalu, a spiritual guardian. The weaving is also enriched with rituals and taboo.

Abel on the other hand is a traditional woven product from Ilocos region particularly Vigan, Ilocos Sur. The cloth is very colorful and its fabric is so strong and beautiful. The Abel cloth can last long like antique furnishings. Abel cloths are used for blankets, pillow cases and can be woven into clothes. These had a competition during the Spanish colonization that's why at present only a few places have maintained the Abel weaving.

While T'nalak is being made in Cotabato, Pis Siyabit is a high-quality cloth made by the Tausugs of Sulu, located in Mindanao. It is square in shape and is made from cotton or silk and with geometric patterns, It is used by the people as head covering. However, the cloth can also be worn on the shoulders of Tausug men. It is knotted around the hilt of the sword. Pis Syabit is worn on weddings and other Tausug occasions and symbolizes a colorful history and rank of the Tausug people.
